Operator. Strategist. Mediator. A proven builder helping equine facilities align, scale, and thrive.
Founder & Principal Consultant
Lani built her first business from scratch at age 27, starting in a shared office with a conference room and scaling to five separate locations across California. She managed every aspect of operations: hiring, systems design, marketing, expansion, and leadership development. She went on to train professionals globally on building their own practices and consulted for prominent California law firms on internal processes, operational efficiency, leadership structure, and marketing strategy.
She trained at Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and spent years as a professional mediator, earning recognition as a Top 100 Attorney in Orange County and receiving the Attorney of Distinction award from the OC Business Journal. She was honored in Riviera Magazine’s Dynamic Women and Power Players editions.
Years of building, scaling, and sitting across the table from people in conflict taught Lani something most consultants never learn: how to help organizations move from reactive to intentional. Board disputes, leadership misalignment, undefined roles, and operational friction are the things that quietly tear equine facilities apart.
When Lani moved to Boulder with her family, her lifelong love of horses became a calling. She saw equine organizations pouring everything into their animals and clients but missing the leadership alignment, systems architecture, and strategic structure needed to protect and grow that work. Happy Horse Consulting is the result.

Lani built and scaled a multi-location business from the ground up. She’s managed systems, hiring, growth, and marketing firsthand. This differentiates her from consultants who only provide recommendations.
